The phenomenon of Hypnosis is far from new and has been documented as far back as the ancient Egyptians. It is a

without us realizing it.
You would already recognize this mental state as:
- Daydreaming
- Gazing out of the window during 'geography'
- Being 'there' but 'miles away' at the same time.
- Being so focussed on a project that time seems to pass very quickly (think computer games!).
This state of mind is known to us all as 'trance'. You are still completely in
control during trance, just very deeply focussed on something.
